Song of the South: Breeze of Spring

As spring moves to summer and we contemplate the call to be agents in transforming our lives and world, I thought this poem about hope was appropriate.   I hope it touches your heart.

your progressive redneck preacher,

Micah

Breeze of Spring

autumn breezeHope rises

like a leaf, dancing in the wind

daffodils blown in a scattering cloud of seed

Hope rises

unexpectedly from dark earth

like the warmth that breaks winter

like arms embracing mine

seedlinglike love filling one’s chest

when once familiar eyes lock theirs

sparkling with starlight

Hope bursts forth

Unexpected, long awaited, oft forgotten.
